There's some sort of unusual outbreak of violence and mayhem. Reports start coming in of cannibalistic acts and mutilation. The only reports you can get are from a local radio station. Pontypool is the story of the DJ reporting that news.

This zombie flick was a welcome surprise to us here at ZombieMovieList.com. What we were expecting was a stereotypical low budget Canadian flick, and all the bad acting, production values and plot holes that comes with it. What we got instead was a very interesting take on the zombie movie, with an original plot and very well played out performances.

Pontypool features an impressive presentation by Stephen McHattie as radio morning show disc jockey Grant Mazzy. Host of 'Mazzy in the Morning' on a local radio station in the small town of pontypool, we found ourselves entrapped in Stephen's ability to portray an aging and unhappy DJ, just looking for an excuse to mix it up on the airways.

We can't give too much away about the storyline, as we really try to not give too much away in our reviews, but we can say we were impressed. Some might say it was a little too far fetched, but it is a zombie movie. Pontypool wasn't made to be a documentary, but a frightfully entertaining undead story, which it pulls off without a hitch.

All in all, we'd make this a must see for zombie fans, and a definite recommendation for horror movie fans.
